Privacy Policy
Taste House (“we”) is a home kitchen. This page explains what personal data we keep when you order, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What we keep
- Your details: name (if you give it), WhatsApp number and delivery address (society, block, house number, or the address you type).
- Your orders: date, meal, number of plates, any customization and note, the total, and the order status.
- Your PIN, only if you choose “Save details for future orders”. We keep it in a scrambled form (a hash); we cannot read it.
- Technical data: the internet (IP) address and the type of phone and browser used to place an order. We use these only to spot fake or abusive orders.
- On your phone: the website remembers your details, theme and the last menu in your browser’s storage, so the next order is quicker. It uses one small cookie to keep the order form secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Why we use it
- To take, cook, deliver and confirm your order, and to message you on WhatsApp about it.
- To fill in your details next time, if you saved them with a PIN.
- To keep simple records of our sales.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
3. Who can see it
- The kitchen owner and the person who runs this website.
- Our web host stores the data on its servers in a private folder that is not reachable from the web.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages you send us and we send you, under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your details and orders until you ask us to delete them, so that your next orders are easy. When you ask us to delete them, we erase your name, number and address, also from your past orders. We keep only the amounts of past orders, without your name, for our accounts.
5. Your choices and rights
- Saving your details with a PIN is optional. You can order without it.
- You can ask us on WhatsApp to show, correct or delete your details at any time.
- If you forget your PIN, message us; we send you a link that works once to set a new one.
- If you are not happy with how we handled your data, tell us first; you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
6. Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). PINs are stored as hashes, guessing is blocked after a few wrong tries, and only the owner and the website manager can sign in to see orders.
7. Children
Orders should be placed by adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. For any privacy question or request, message us on WhatsApp: the number on our website.
